Thanks everyone. I've got a bad case of insomnia and came downstairs to check my emails...one thing lead to another and I find myself here....got quite a shock when I saw this thread!

The picture without the border has actually been my main gallery image for a few months now and I had some nice comments at the time I put it in. It's still my favourite picture of her. She does not readily smile at the camera and I've given up trying and try to capture the pensive looks instead.

This morning I was trying out Timothy's Vintage Border Tutorial (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28097) & it seemed to work perfectly with the picture - I put it in to showcase the effects of the tutorial really! (Be warned if you try it, it is somewhat long - 17 steps!)
