resizing images

New to using elements 5. I am trying to keep proportions when I resize an image. What I have been doing is clicking the corner then holding shift and resizing. What I notice is it doesn't keep the same ratio that they can get distorted. How do I keep the proportions etc? thanjs

It works the opposite as it did in pse4. You don't have to hold the shift key to constrain.

I have not used elements before so if I understand you correctly I just click on the corner and drag and it will not change or distort the image? thanks

Hi

Have a look in the options bar when you are using the move tool. There is a checkbox to "constrain proportions". :)
