In an earlier post I asked about making a photo look like winter vs. summer for a Christmas card from the clinic president where I work.

I got a few shots of the hospital. I think these photos are of the original entrance…however, I am not positive, because there have been so many pieced added since it was first built.

Here is what I am thinking, contemplating

If I kept the photo in color, I will make it look like a night sky…sort of a dark blue or blackish sky, snowing outside…and then possibly:
Adding white Christmas lights across the top of the buildings, possibly making the windows glow yellow like the light is on inside.
Also add a beam of light directed at the cross
Add a moon…maybe a crescent moon??

Option 2
Convert the photo to black and white, http://www.pixcentral.com/thumbs/793987Hospital BW WEB.jpg ('http://www.pixcentral.com/viewer.php?id=793987Hospital BW WEB.jpg')
add snow and then wreaths that would be in color…one on each of the pillars…or whatever. The cross doesn’t show up so well in the b/w version…

Any tutorials or advice you have would be appreciated!

Hi, Susan -

I posted a snow action, brush & style - they're here (http://www.graficalicus.com/wp/?p=300)

Here's a quick take from this morning (just snow: no wreaths or lights, but I have a seasonal graphics pack for download with lights, swirls, wreaths & stuff - it's free)

Susan I recommend Graffi's website. I have lots of his downloads and use them quite often. When I was reading your post I immediately thought of Graffi's site before I saw his post. It is well worth trying;)
