I need to submit a photo to a contest and they want it jpeg no larger than a 5mb. How do I know how big my photos are and then how do I change them. I have a 6 MP canon camera and I use the lagest setting that I can if that helps.

I can't imagine you would have to change it. You can see the file size in Windows Explorer (if you're using Windows) or in the Organizer by looking at Properties (Alt-Enter). If you've done any editing when you save as a jpeg you'll get a window where you can change JPEG quality and that shows the file size at different JPEG compression qualities - but there's no sense in saving it at a larger size (ie higher jpeg quality) than the file that came out of your camera - you can't add quality that you didn't have in the first place.
Best of luck with the contest
