Calipers - or am I dreaming?

Calipers - is there such a thing in Photoshop Elements? I have version 3 - if anyone can remember that far back.

I'm inserting a new person into a group photo and it would make life easier if I could just use a set of calipers to make sure I got the face the right size.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Margaret, I don't think there are any calipers per se in any version of Elements.

However, here's one possible workaround:

Open the image that has the object you want to measure.
Make sure the rulers appear on your image (View>Rulers)
Right click on the ruler and change it to read in pixels.
Go to Window>Info and click on it to have it appear. Make sure it's where you can see it.
Select the horizontal marquee tool; draw a line across the face with it.
Note in the Info display that the width of the image now appears in the box marked W: H: That's the measurement you can compare with the other image.

Thank you Chuck, that will work. I knew there had to be a way, but I couldn't think of it.
