Hi, I have what I think is a fun picture, but there is too much going on and I don't really want to crop.

Any advice?
My palette shows I tried to mask out the Dad, the toys and the rug at different oppacities.
I don't like it.
And I am out of ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Marie,

Maybe the background wouldn't be so distracting if it were blurred a bit. If you're a subscriber, check out the Creating Depth of Field video 1/5/07. Adding an effect that that may bring more of the focus on the subjects and away from the background.

Hi ...

Try doing it in B&W and then just leave the main areas in colour :) ... that may work

Hi Diana and Wendy,
thank you for your advice. I will give both of your solutions a try. But - I may just leave it as is, looks much better than what I did. Why aren't you able to see how bad something turned out until you see it online. Blech!
Thanks again.
