Hello! I'm user from Poland here. I'm a newbie to this forums and I would like to stick around for a while. My name is Bartek. You can call me Bart.

Let's do this:

Is there a some kind of tool for Photoshop Elements 5.0 that can slice images into website like ImageReady??

I really need that function, I almost bought Elements few seconds ago and then I realized it misses that one tool (ImageReady like).

I've noticed that PE5 has Save For Web option but it doesn't really save it like Photoshop CS2 does (I tried a trial version and I could like create whole website graphically, then cut or slice it in ImageReady and go back to Photoshop and save it for web - it was brilliant!!!!!!!!!)

Please help me because I don't know what to do.

Hi Bart

Welcome to the forums.:)

Elements does not have the ability to do slices as doe CS3 or Imageready. I'm not sure if there are any plugins or workarounds to accomplish this.
Sorry.

Hi Bart ...

... and welcome :)

Afraid that I don't know of any plugins that will do this ...

Hi Bart: It can be done in Elements although it's more manual than in Image Ready I suspect (I haven't done it in either). Richard Lynch's Hidden Power Tools have a couple of add-ins to help - Add Guides and Save Slices (I have the PSE3 book and tools - and it's covered in detail, not sure if it's in the PSE4 version and there is no PSE5 version yet). But adding guides can be done in PSE5 and then you would use the marquee tool set to snap to guides and cut out the slices and Save for Web.

Tony

PS And if you were close to buying PSE5 you might wait and see what PSE6 looks like - it's due pretty soon I suspect

ohhh PSE6 ?? sounds even more interesting, maybe they'll add a function like ImageReady to it :P and the good thing is that prices of all of them since 3.0 are kind of the same over here

good, so I think I will have to wait. I will try to do what you told me up there.

thanks, and hi everyone

EDIT:
i've been browsing the forums, and found this:
http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26214

according to this it's coming up like in a week :) (IF it's coming up)

great, I will wait for the trail version and see what's different/better about it
