I've been working with elements 5. I've been making 8.5 x 11 pages. Not matter what I do when the page is printed I get a narrow left hand border and a wider right hand border. I have an hp photosmart p1000. I've done searches and even contacted the company trying to figure out how to fix this with no answers. I tried setting things in the elements printing and page setup and it doesn't help. I started a page with just background paper and set it to page size 8 x 10.205 then went into page set up and said fit on page and I got a nice border. Tried to make a layout with pixs and ended up with the same problem. Can anyone help me with this? thanks

Frustrating, isn't it? This is a printer margin issue, not a PSE one. Most printers have margins for printing based on pathway and, usually, one margin is wider than the other. This is normal. If you want borderless prints, and your printer supports that, most printers require a different feed pathway for the paper than the usual one. Check your printer manual for instructions. Note that if the document that you are trying to print isn't the same, exact, aspect ratio as is 8 1/2 x 11, you will either get cropping of some of your image or borders around 2 of the edges.
