printing problems

I've been working with elements 5. I've been making 8.5 x 11 pages. Not matter what I do when the page is printed I get a narrow left hand border and a wider right hand border. I have an hp photosmart p1000. I've done searches and even contacted the company trying to figure out how to fix this with no answers. I tried setting things in the elements printing and page setup and it doesn't help. I started a page with just background paper and set it to page size 8 x 10.205 then went into page set up and said fit on page and I got a nice border. Tried to make a layout with pixs and ended up with the same problem. Can anyone help me with this? thanks

Pardon me for forgetting to welcome you to the forum in my other post. Welcome. Check your other post for a response. It usually isn't necessary to cross post here with the same question as most people read everything, regardles of forum, anyway. I, myself, use the "Today's Posts" option rather than reading specifically forum-by-forum. So, wherever you post your question, you are likely to get a reply.
