If this has been covered before... sorry.
I would like to make some icons for my desktop. Any info would be helpful. :)

Ahhh, There all gonna laugh at me.....
I did it. Rusty was right. It will work without the change.
Mine looks like crap. :( (sorry for the bad language)
Off to change it back to the Flaming Pear one.
If anyone knows of some other freebies, please let me know. :D

Mine are so full of pixels you can't see it. How can I get it nice and clean?

Back in December when we were talking about this I did make an icon. I pretty much followed the sizing instructions Byron gave in that earlier post. I cleaned up and sharpened the heck out of my avatar and that was going to be my desktop shortcut to the forum.
It worked and looked pretty good. The next time I turned off and restarted my 'puter it went away and reverted to one of the Microsoft canned choices. I suppose this has something to do with an error I made in Windows and not with Elements.
I never bothered to futz with it anymore.

I use Microangelo. It is an excellent program.
http://www.microangelo.us/
It also has On Display a neat program for changing the appearance of icons on your desktop and it even displays animated icons.
