"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
Bill Zingraf has presented this week Challenge.

Love your envelope. Care to share where you got it? :)

Thanks kimi! I liked your surreal transformation of the cabbage. :)
I find most of my "add-ons" at Image*After (http://imageafter.com/) (it's a site offering totally free photos for any kind of use) and stock.xchng (http://www.sxc.hu/) (various types of licences).
I believe the envelope is from the first one. The sealing wax was separate, but I don't remember where I got it... :p

Thanks Maria..... got it. :) Nice site!
Wendy has a tut for the wax seal, now I have a reason to work it.
Thanks for the nice words about my cabbage. Should have run a displacement map. I think it looks too much like a circle. Oh well, live and learn. :p
Oh, the inspiration came from http://inobscuro.com/
She has some really cool creepy stuff.

Arrrr...some piratical images this week.
ALEX B: Nice background creation work -- the veggie pirate in #3 is great!
BEN M: The bottled sauerkraut is wonderful -- a cool link.
BILL Z: Interesting reflection and expansion.
BLUE S: The red cabbage is a neat idea -- somehow that lady fits right in, too.
ELLEN H: Mr. Smee? Cabbage-headed, perhaps.
KIMI B: The eye and scar are great additions.
KIM B: The cabbage head on the doll had me LOL -- nice idea.
MALCOLM D: Neat re-creation of the crossed sabres and skull.
MARIA: Nice work on the envelope, splatter and coffee ring.
MARIA S: The cabbage pirate chef is a cool idea.
RITA G: The wanted poster is great -- I love the ship drawing.
RED S: Pirate tattoos at a wedding? Hmmmm...

Thanks from me too, Bob, for your always welcome comments. Your Jolly Roger is great- hope you didn't stick yourself with the embroidery needle.
Mr. Smee was a gnome from Tony's challenge from last year.

Bob, a Thank You from me, too. :) I used the "old photo" technique (from Kimi's "homework") for both the challenge image and the envelope, with some... improvisations. :p
These challenges are wonderful, they inspire so many amazing and intriguing ideas... Everyone's interpretations were great!! :)

Thank you both for your nice comments. This is my very first challenge so I was really nervous about posting something and embarrassing myself right out of here! But I shouldn't have worried... this is the nicest (and funniest) group of people I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. :)
And Steven! How did you get a picture of my wedding day!!! :p
