My new friend came back for feeding time to my new plant, imagine his surprise when he came back to find a hummingbird feeder next to the flowers:D Call me crazy but I think I heard a tiny, faint "woohoo! More food!"
The new picture is in my gallery, enjoy:D

Rob... great shot. :D
I have been seeing them everywhere and my feeder is full of rust. I think you just pushed me to go out and buy a new one. Thanks. :)

Great shot;). They will be going away for the winter soon here in GA. I will have to go to my sisters to get a shot. I only have 3 that come to our feeder and they are so fast I can't catch them.

I think you are right Kev, I walked outside this morning with my coffee & stood right next to the feeder to see if it needed to be filled & the little guy flew up to the feeder, got a sip then hovered right in front of my face no further then 6 inches away from my nose. Seemed he was checking me out, I moved the coffee up to my mouth & yet he stayed, either he wanted to make sure I was not a garden statue or he wanted my coffee. I'm surprised how brave he is, he hovered in front of me for a good 15 seconds.

Rob, some friends of ours here in Houston have had some success training hummers to come to a feeder in their hands! Wish I had a photo of them doing that....

For those of you interested in learning more about hummingbirds -- and why there aren't any living in Europe -- here's an interesting website:

:eek:Awesome, I have to look up how to do that. They are just too cool. I know I keep going on about these hummingbirds but I really have not observed them in the past, usually just caught a glimpse of them buzzing by. I just find them very fascinating:o

Just great photo. Very well exposed, just a simple and clean photo.
That's the beauty of simplicity. The output of your camera thanks to to eye behind the viewfinder, a few touches with PE and you have a work of art.
