Rob: Great chart - that's a much better way of looking a resolutions needed for different print sizes.

One aspect it doesn't address, however: some (most?) camera manufacturers are squeezing more pixels onto small sensors in non-DSLR cameras, with the result often being more noise in the viewed and printed images. As a result, the image quality from a 7 MP camera may be better than that from a 10 MP camera. I think it's still important for shoppers to look at the detailed reviews in dpreview.com and steves-digicams.com before plunking down a bunch of money for a particular camera.

Thanks, Rob, for that link. That's a handy chart to have for my PSE classes when they start back up this fall.
