Hey guys, I mentioned a while back that I would be doing photos for a restaurant web site, well the site is near done & you guys can peek at it before it goes live. Please try to navigate the whole site to see all the pictures I took. Oh the artichokes look amazing! I almost started to lick the monitor:p:p:p
Let me know what you think!

Rob, excellent job! Great pictures! I still say there are some real pros that participate on this forum.
The entire menu looks great. In fact the next time I am up that way, I will go out of my way to get a bite to eat there.

Not an artichoke fan, but even on a full stomach the rest looks yummy.:) (and I just go back from pizza, ceasar salad and garlic bread)
Did you also do the header photo?

Rob: I think your pictures are fabulous! In fact, they should add more food shots. Did they forget to give you credit for the photography??? :)

Rob, I glanced at the pictures but quickly moved on to the words. You might want to have your English teacher review the text on the page.
"Max and his family emmigrated form Italy" - the first line of the text contains two serious errors and there are others as well.
I'll shut up now.

Rob, great pictures! But Margaret's right ... they're seriously in need of a proofreader. There are multiple misspellings on almost every page. I actually saw the word "tomatoe" on one of the pages :D

Hmmmm.. With each great picture being worth 1,000 words, their webmaster should be able to dig up some replacements:).
Really very nicely done Rob .... congrats.
(Pause to proofread ... ok, send.)

Kudos to you Rob. You did a great job with the photography. I really love that cheese bread - yum. The interior shots are welcoming - don't know that that's the right word, but I wanted to go there and eat.
Did you use a special lighting setup to get the food shots?

Yep, the spelling is off. I'll let the guy know who is doing the web site:D I think he wanted it semi complete to show the owners of the restaurant (I hope)

No special lighting involved in fact I hate to admit I used the built in flash for the shots, they were taken before I got my new flash gun:)

Rob, you did an excellent job! The food looks good enough to eat...and I'm sure it is! I've been to La Cucina, excellent. I used to live in Branchburg which isn't too far from Flemington. Used to go there a lot. Congrats on a job well done...well almost done!

The wife & I would go to La Cucina all the time! We had some friends who worked there & we would go to see people play Jazz down in the bar:cool:

Us too! I used to love that place! Brings back memories for me! It's been about 7 years since I've been back to that area. Summerville used to have some good restaurants too!

Our friend Fran who used to bartend & waitress there is now working at the Clinton House, we just saw her last Friday & we were just talking about Cucina:p

Like everyone before me has said - the photos are great. I beg you to get the proof reader in so that all of your great work is not for naught. When one reads the menu they will forget all about the great pictures and, probably will miss some great food. Beside the spelling and grammer problem, I am of the opinion that there is a syntax problem - the "Pizza Police" will be after him if he presents a Margarita pizza with tomato sauce, of any kind.
Food photography is very difficult - I know, because I have tried it for a Pizza receipe book I am preparing. Any special tips you care to give out?

The Clinton House sounds very familiar...I've been to Clinton but I can't remember if I was ever there!

Rob, your results are excellent. You should be proud :)
I don't want to beat to death the comments others have made about the crappy website, but I know you will want to refer to this as a "reference" in search for more such work. The last thing you want to be doing is telling people, "Just look at the pictures, I didn't have anything to do with the rest of it."
Do what you can to get it fixed so you can confidently use this as a sample of your work.
I had a neighbor that was desperately attempting to make the jump from "super handyman" to "small contractor". He came over one day, all excited, "Rusty, look at my business cards, what do you think, aren't they great?" I had to tell him, "John, you only have about a dozen words on this card and two of them are misspelled!"
He gave me a hurt look, "Yeah? OK, well, other than that, don't they look great!" He did not ask me which words were misspelled, I think he used them as they were.
Rusty :)
