Well, this is the right forum.
Saw a neat gadget for getting the lime in the bottle here (http://www.citrusblaster.com/)
The proclaimed mission of these guys is:
All 4 Fun invents, designs, manufactures and distributes unique impulse gadgets that consumers want but don’t really need.
My kinda gadget. :)
P.S. I saw one of these in action. It really works.

I'm heading for the liquor cabinet, Bombay with an ever so slight touch of very dry vermouth. Then I probably won't worry about when I'll get mine.

I would like an IPA (India Pale Ale Christine;)) with the base malt being Maris Otter Pale. Additional grains should be dextrin, wheat and Vienna. A single infusion mash at 152 degrees, held for an hour is fine. Bittering hops Magnum, with flavor and aroma being Cascade, of course. Some British Ale yeast is fine. If none of this is available I will have a MICKEY's Big Mouth.

August 23rd, 2007, 01:04 AM
Yeah something to look forward to when I get back next week. I'll place my order then if its not here by then.
Edit: Just checked out the extras that weren't there yesterday. Looks like it will be another great issue. Can't wait.

Yes, Ellen, Point is alive and well.
I happen to have, today, Sea Dog, India Pale Ale from, would you believe, the State of Maine. Bought it yesterday at Trader Joe's
I hope the Miller Police or Sprecher Police don't catch me.

A nice glass of merlot, please.
I'm very curious to see if there is a pattern in geographic location for newsletter delivery. I'm going to jot down the locations of anyone who posts in this thread that they've received their new issue of PET. I'll do it in the order in which comments are posted. I know it won't be totally scientific, but it might be fun to find out what the scoop is. :)

To console myself I think I will let steven treat me to an IPA. Thanks for providing the detailed descriptions, steven. I have always (well lately, anyway) wondered what IPA stands for. now I know.
I patiently await my copy.

Tony,
I sure hope Irish Cider isn't anything like that Strongbow stuff I made the mistake of ordering once :p :p
The barkeep took pity. After I had one sip, and it sat there for about ten minutes, he picked it up, dumped it into the sink, gave me a smile and, "Guv, may I suggest a nice lager?"

I've run home from the hospital long enough for a quick shower and a peek at the mail. Elements newsletter arrived sometime in the last two days. I'm saving it for tonight's late night bedside reading at the hospital.
I had to laugh a couple of nights ago when my husband woke up and saw me reading through an old newsletter. He managed "Oh, good, you got your adobe magazine!" before he drifted back to sleep.
I'm changing my drink order from an entire bottle of anything to some sort of nice warm adult beverage. It's COLD in his room!

I had another copy stuck to mine too. It was for someone in a town about 25 miles away. I just stuck it back in the "Out of Town" mailbox at our post office, I hope it made it to its correct destination. Haven't had a chance to play with the new techniques yet, but it looks like a lot of fun!
