Hello all.
Thought I would post this here too.
Sam's club is now printing 12x16 for about 3.50/ sheet.
I took in 2 of my 12x12 to print and am thrilled with how they look. and they did not mess with the colors at all.

I did place each one onto a 12x16 new white background before taking it in.

Now I just need to trim the extra white area off. Next time, I think I will place a small 4x6 into the white area , just because it will fit.

Printer is:epson stylist pro 7800 nkjet laser. Paper is semi gloss
He said all Sam's use the same equipment.
I'm thrilled as costco is not convenient to me.

Michelle

Now you have me curious as to how my pages would look at 12x12

I told you it was a slippery slope

First "I'm not a scrapper"

Then "looks like fun - I'll give it a try"

Then "gotta get involved in those challenges on DDD"

Then "I think I'll print a couple at home and see how they look"

Yesterday "I think I'll try out Target and Walgreens" in 8x8

Now - 12x12????

Oh oh

Next thing you know, I'll be buying albums.

Tina, I'll be interested to hear if you get the same great results I did.

Now, Janice...
I do like the way you listed the chronological slide into digital scrapbooking...;)
and my question to you now is: why not try 12x12?
What's wrong with albums??
I tend to use the creative memories brand, although Michael's carries an awesome supply of great vendors that used to only be found in the small private scrappy paper stores.
And...IMHO your pages will look super at 12x12 in an album, as you do a terrific job of scrapbooking.

Why not 12x12?

It's the size issue. When I look at my friends albums, it's difficult for me to handle the album - it's too bulky.

But, that's probably because I need new glasses and want to bring the album closer to my face - which is hard with 12x12.

Now - visualize that - grasping a huge album and propping it in font of one's nose. LOL

But, really, I think the 8x8 size is perfect - the detail will show through at that size - only downfall is if the page is loaded with photos - then each photo will be 35% smaller.

And how do I know it will be 35% smaller?

Because when I create at 12x12 and want to resize to 8x8 - I use "scale" and set it at 65% and I get the perfect 7.9 x 7.9 end result.

I'm going off on a tangent

the slippery slope is getting me

dragging me down

making me ....

12 x12 does make for a larger photo, easier on the ol eyeballs too.:D
I do both.

So to get 12x16s from Sam's do you have to take a disk to the store? I looked online at their website and didn't see 12x16 listed anywhere.
