Im having trouble installing fonts. Once there downloaded i tried dragging the unzipped folder into the control panel's fonts folder. When that didn't work I unzipped the folder & dragged it into the same folder. I then got out of photoshop to close it out, restarted it, made a blank paper clicked on text looked in the text list & the new ones still are not there. What did I do wrong? What am i doing wrong? I dont want to put it in its own folder because i want it to come up with all the other fonts. This is so frustrating.

Linda

What you did should have worked.

Are they showing up in other apps?

One thing we found out, was that Elements did not recognize "Open Type" fonts. I'm not sure if this has been corrected yet or not.

Edit,.. you dragged the folder into the fonts folder? It should just be a file or list of files usually ending in .ttf

Hi Linda,
Try dragging the font files to C:\Windows\fonts

Have fun,
Steve

Hi Gary, No they do not show up in word. I have no clue where these buggers are hiding.

In the Control Panel "Fonts" folder, go to: File
Install new font
The ADD FONTS dialog opens. Choose the drive and folder where the fonts to install are
located.
Be sure to check Copy fonts to fonts folder box
OK (instructions from one of Sara's classes

Hi Linda....
open the zip folder and you should see the font file. Copy and paste into the computers font folder. The system will not recognize the file until it is physically out of the zip folder.
