I *think* it was called power tools, but like Grant's tools, there are free components such as masks and channels.
He offers another enhancement program that offers other feature for elements 5 (don't remember the name or the functions without going back and looking, but can anyone tell me about his products.
TIA

Barbara,
Richard Lynch has a site: http://www.hiddenelements.com
From there, you can download the tools he has currently made available for PSE5 (or any other version), including the free set of "Hidden Power" tools.
I purchased an earlier version of Richard's book with complete set of tools, and can attest to their quality. The book is a real education.

I'll second what Byron had to say about Richard's book. The book is not a light read but worth spending time for what you will come away with after reading the book.

I'll third that - I have the PSE3 book and and many of the actions and I've learnt a lot from it. It's one of those books that gets better every time you read it because it covers the why it works much better than the usual recipe books.

Hi ...
Have to confess that I have it ... but his writing style just doesn't suit me at all :( I just can't get on with it.
However it does have some great things in it ...

Thanks for the great info. I downloaded his tools and they seem pretty straightforward, and guess it's time for me to start building my library with books. II need to start up a library so I can learn even when I don't have internet access to my computer. Gonna start retirement for reals very soon and some of the places I want to see are so far away from internet connections and phone towers so if anybody has more suggestions about what books are good out there, I'd love some feedback.

I have the PSE4 book and tools... Nothing wrong for me with his style, and excellent to understand why, and not only how. I find myself using many of his tools, especially separation, masking, black and white conversion and color correction. And now, when I am not at home and playing with a standard PSE without his tools, I can very often do without the tools, just because I understand better light and colour on one hand, and PSE standard tools and their hidden power... By the way, don't repeat it, but most PSE4 tools work with PSE5!
