I was out of town until this evening (without access to the Forum ). My DH informed me that he saw a thread about my image... but he neglected to tell me that it was an Editor's Choice. A very nice coming home surprise.

I'm really having fun with these watercolors. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful compliments.

Just getting into this and the work I am seeing is really great. You stated on the civil war pic that it was part of Creative Home Work week 20. Could you tell me how to get started or which training session I should start out with as a beginner.

Susan, can you share exactly how you got the effect! I've done it but it doesn't look like that...maybe it depends on the image.

Gostate1,

Thanks for the compliments. I really liked how my Civil War (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=21436) image turned out. As I said it was BASED on Creative Homework 20 (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24352), so that's a good place to start. I've had another inquiry about it from another forum so it looks like I need to reopen the PSD file and write out the steps. When I do I'll post it here and send you a PM too. I'm currently under the gun to finish a project by Friday afternoon so it might be next week or so. More to follow....

If you haven't subscribed to PET yet, I can't recommend it enough. It has really helped me develop my PSE skills. Check it out (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/learningcenter/)!

P.S. Norma, were you asking about the Civil War technique, too?

Actually, I meant the girl/tractor image. But I do love your civil war picture too!
