Adding Pics to forum post

I have a ? regarding 'sharpening' pics. I am attempting to add a picture along with the question in the post but get the msg that the size of the pic. exceeds the limit. Is there another way to show the picture where size limitation is not a problem. I will be Signing up in the 'Subscribers area' tomorrow. Would the proper method than be to develop a gallery? Thanks for the help.

i know there are better answers out there but i resize the photo . I open a new blank and make the size photo shop default size. then open my photo and drag it onto the blank size it to the blank. save it. this so far i have had no problem posting these. Like i said better answers are out there but hope this works for now.

Hi ...

You can use Pixentral but it is better to resize it .. this is what I do:

First resize your image using "save for web"
Set the longest side to 750 pixels and click on Apply
then adjust the quality slider until the image is around 150K.
and save it with a new name.

then go to

Follow the instructions on the site and then when your image is uploaded copy the URL from below the image (where it says forum) and paste it into a message here :)

(If you do wish to post a larger size then make sure that it is below 2MB ... and then put a note in your message that the images is very large) You will tend to find that people don't look at larger images as they can't see them on screen ... so they have to download them if they wish to help :) )
