Visiting my friend who is quite a gardener, I was suprised to find a tomato relishing squirrel. My favorite part of the picture is the cute little paws holding the tomato; looks like she just had a manicure.

so that is the twerp who has been eating my tomatoes. I got one he got 5, i love the picture but he better hide from me or his hide is mine. Ok so i only have one plant but the bugger can leave me a couple. Better to laugh than to cry at least he takes the whole thing, waste not want not.

he sure does have long nails. I tried to get a picture of the ones by my house but they are quicker than me. You really did get a great shot.

Nice nice shot, Ron. I'm just glad my Dad can't see that! He has a hate/hate relationship with squirrels, who have destroyed his tomato plants over the years...taking one or two bites........then abandoning them. I don't think they like the taste; they're just greedy little guys.
One also got into his garage and had a feast on the wiring insulation on his car. A very costly snack...for my Dad, that is.

Ron, is it just luck that you're always in the right spot at the right time? You do such wonderful and interesting work!

Ron,
nice photo of an animal imported from the USA to England. It is now a pest and as well as eating tomatoes they eat birds' eggs and fledglings. Look nice but in reality a curse.

Ron,
Have to agree with Kev, pesky little critters, but cute to look at. Great shot. Your gallery is awesome....

Cute photo, Ron. We have an apple tree in our front yard, and every year we have a yard full of partially eaten apples. The squirrels like to take a bite or two and leave the rest.

Ron, is it just luck that you're always in the right spot at the right time? You do such wonderful and interesting work!I would say a little luck can't hurt, but you have to make your own luck; and this is done by having a camera available, even in your own backyard. When you have done this as long as I have (I wish it was less) I believe you start seeing things that a non-photographer wouldn't even notice. It's just like golf, fishing, painting or any other activity; you can learn the basics in an hour, but to excel takes a major committment.
As far as diversity goes, unless you live in an incredible area or have the ability to do a lot of traveling, you have to make the most of the sights in or near your locality. Any living thing is my subject; and a lot of times I get lucky.
Thanks again for your comments.

Another very nice image, Ron,
(as usual for your work) :)
My squirrels go after my apples but I don't care because they leave the ones on the tree alone - they only eat at the windfalls.

Squirrels like coke too. This is one I rehabilitated - and let free.

You did a great job. Squirrels are too fast for me. So are most animals. Can't even get a good one of my dogs.
