I took a photograph of a huge sunflower the other day and thought I'd try some of the painting techniques on it. I wasn't entirely happy with the first one I did, although it did look like painting, so I started again and tried applying gazillions of filters. My main image is the result and I think I like it. The other one is more or less as it came from the camera.

Jo, it looks terrific! Great photo and presentation; I like how one little petal sneaks over the frame at the top!

Thanks, Chuck. I can never resist cropping and having something hang out of the frame -- kind of like my hair...

Are you packing seeds for that nervous parrot and her feathered friends, ladybug?

well believe me he gets his share. If he is not happy with his selection he shoots them clear across the room. I pack for DAVID sunflower.

Jo, what a gorgeous sunflower. I, also, like the petal hanging over the edge.

Very nice, I'm still trying to come up with a painting effect that I like. Some day...
