I would like to make a collage and found the thread referring to Corey Barker's podcast on clipping masks. I don't seem to be able to access that podcast either on this website or in iTunes store. Could someone tell me if this is possible or else pass along the instructions that would help me make a collage like in 'creative homework week 1'
Thanks for your help.:o

Hi Bonnie,
Check out this link (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3286).
It has several links to online tutorials.

Hi Bonnie ...
Do you know the date of the podcast ... ?
Old ones are in the Subscriber Area ... then look to the top right and click on Video Podcast ... that take you to the archive :)

Hey Wendy;
The date of the podcast was Jan 2007 and the archives only go back to May. Rats!

If you go to the "HOME" page and then Podcasts, Achieve, the video you are looking for is there. You should be able to download from this area.

Hi Anna ...
Thanks for that I missed seeing it ... what a strange place to put it. I thought it was the heading and not the link :)

Which brings me to one of my pet peeves?
I spend a lot of time looking for stuff on the Internet and usually am pretty good at it. The search stuff on this site is kind of lame - and I say that because I have far more luck using Google and the search this site option at finding relevant material than the Search thing they have here.
Also, it would be REALLY, REALLY useful of they indexed some of the Tutorials and PODCASTS so they would be searchable by something that works, at least the way (I think) most people would like to search!!

Hi John ...
The Subscriber Area Video tutorials section does have a seach facility which works if you know what you are looking for ... but the written tutorials does. To get around that I keep a list of all mine ... its better than keep scrolling down but you do need to be logged into the Subscriber Area get the links to work. :)

Hi Wendy,
Actually, my complaint is with the Video Tutorials section and the lame search function.
For example, if you search on "RAW" it finds nothing.
If you search for “CAMERA RAW” it finds several on raw, but not the one on raw white balance (Feb 9, 2007) that uses ACR for white balance correction.
Searching for “RAW WHITE” gets the Feb 9, 2007 video, but also several that have nothing to do with RAW.
To me, this is lame indexing, and it can’t be searched any other way. :(

John ...
Why note write to KW Media and set out your concerns ... it is unlikely that it will be picked up in a thread here :)

Wendy,
Just did and added a query about a Suggestion Box for the PSEUsers site.

John: Thanks for taking the lead on that one - it bugs me too (and it's the same problem on the sister NAPP site where there are a lot more tutorials and videos). I tried the usual tricks that work at some other sites that don't have 3 letter word searching (eg using %RAW% but that doesn't work here either). Depending on the search system used some will let TPTB turn on 3 letter word search so it may be possible here. The forum is OK here because it's Google'd but the tutorials and videos of course aren't.

Finally got around to sending an email to Tami, got a nice response.
Her reply follows:
Hi John
This is a known issue with mySQL the guys have it on a list to look for a better search they just haven’t gotten to it yet.
There is not a suggestion type feature in the forum software that we use, however you are welcome to send comments and suggestions to me as this is my site as far as issues and moderation go, so any time you have something to add feel free to email me at tami@photoshopelementsuser.com that way I can keep the various comments with the correct site:)
Thanks!
Tami
