sorry I accidentally connected the full-size version, although I had saved a small one! Senior moment!

The dragonfly and banded demoiselle damselfly were taken at Burrswood. Today I found a discarded skin of a dragonfly nymph, which I photographed from three angles. Thanks, Kev, for the paper - suited it well.

Ann,
looks very nice, but you forgot to save for web and is very big to view and you have to keep moving it to see all the picture.

Thanks, Kev. I'd stored it at the correct size, but accidentally uploaded the wrong one to pixentral.

Pleased you both like them. Kev's paper is great - it was based on the central picture in his 'Floral Delights.' Thanks once again.
The dragonfly happened to remain stationary for some time last year - most unusual! The demoiselle actually came indoors and was awaiting help to put it back out, so was stationary by the window! The nymph case was discarded when the dragonfly hatched. I couldn't get over the size. I've since found another picture on the commonest damselfly - again more luck than anything else - I'm usually to slow for things like that.

Very nice, Ann. I've tried to take a number of dragonfly photos and have yet to be successful.

I didn't have any luck on Saturday - there were loads of them. Only the cast-off nymph case, but I'd never seen one of those.

Ann, very nice. I'm glad you captured it, I've tried and tried but everytime I'm ready to snap the shot the darn thing flies off. I'm not giving up, however in few weeks they will go where ever they go for the winter so it may be next year before I get a shot. Thanks for posting your picture, makes me want to try a bit harder:D

Ann,
Very nice montage. The dragonfly photos excellent and the background is great.
