Slide show

I have made a slide show using Elements 4. I import pictures into laptop and save on an external hard drive.

My slide show is made up of photos from Laptop and hard drive. However tonight when I wanted to edit my show some of the photos show in the thumbnails in editor but they dont appear on screen. How do I get them to re-appear when I play the show?

Terry,

You say that you have an external hard drive, so that is probably the first area to check. What we want to know is if that external hard drive is always being assigned the SAME drive letter in Windows?

If you look in Windows Explorer now, what is the drive letter shown for your external hard drive?

This photo (that does not now display),
-- does it have a thumbnail in the Organizer photo area -(not the slide show create/edit process, but the Organizer "main" screen)?
--If yes, select that thumbnail on the "main" screen and look in the Properties window to check: what is the drive letter shown in front of the folder name for that photo?

I have almost the same problem. When I save a slide show in PSE5 and I go back to edit it the photos don't show up-only a black slide. The ones that I screen that I made and used text with shows up. I check the area where everything is saved and they just aren't there. Just this blank black slide. The only thing that helps me is that most of the time I have saved it to a CD/DVD. I don't even know where it saves these files to. I am assuming somewhere on the C drive - but don't know the name of the file or anything. So, I also need to know what to do to retrieve them. Kathy
