I seem to be wasting a lot of ink and high quality semi luster paper trying to print a picture from elements 4 Mac. My picture in Elements looks great but when I print it looks "washed out", or to red, for sure it does not exactly match what I see on my Apple Studio Monitor.

How to I get the best results to insure I match my print to what I see on my screen? What are the best setting for the Espon printer?, and what is the best display resolution for the picture? This picture is TIF with very high pixel count.

I don't have a Mac or an R800 but with my R300 I get the best results using the ICC profiles for the printer and paper I'm using, selecting the right one in the printer profile box in Elements and turning color management off in the printer properties/driver. Assuming your monitor is calibrated (and I think that's easier with a Mac than a PC) that should give good results.

You can get R800 profiles for Epson papers and instructions on how to use them:

The instructions are for Photoshop but Elements is similar (just not so many options)
