Hi, everyone.
Some of you know that my friend's dog Molly was very ill this past weekend. Well, Molly passed away yesterday.
Last week I had been to my friend's house for a babyshower, and I took a few pictures of Molly, thinking that I was going to do something creative with her picture for my friend. Little did I know that I would be the last person to take a picture of Molly. I had posted her picture a couple of days ago, which I used a painting effect on that I kind of just made up, asking for comments of the picture....I wanted it to be just right. I got a lot of very nice feedback and decided to go ahead and print the photo of Molly.
So in tribute to Molly's wonderful life of 14 years, she is proudly presented in my gallery for you to enjoy.

We all need our friends , even when pets pass on. Your friend is lucky to have someone so thoughtful in her life.
The photo of Molly was very nicely done.
We all need friends like you.

Sela,
What a beautiful picture of Molly. I for one am very attached to my pets and even refer to them as my kids. Because thats what they are... It is very hard to lose one due to old age or disease. I know your friend will cherish this picture.

Thank you Wendy, Kimh, Tina B, Charlotte, Michelle, Ron & Andrea for all the kind words. I am sooooo glad you all liked the photo of Molly. I will be presenting the photo of Molly to my friend in a few days. I believe that it will be more appropriate to give her a little more time before I surprise her with Molly's picture. It might be too soon...that's my feeling, anyway. I hope I am right.
Boy, I too am so very glad that I took Molly's picture last week. I had no idea of what was to come.
Have a great one, everyone...and stay tuned for some new pictures to be added to my gallery next week sometime. I am going to Mammoth Lakes, CA...a gorgeous part of the Sierras...lots of photo ops...can't wait!!!! Maybe I'll get lucky and get a picture of a bear...hopefully with the telephoto lens! I hear that the bears are all over the place. Yikes!

I'm so sorry for your friends loss. I have a 10 yr old golden retriever and he's not doing real well either so we know we don't have long with him. I think your friend will adore the pic you made and cherish it for years to come! Shanna

Your friend is going to love that portrait of her much-loved pet. I've lost several dogs over the years so I know how she feels.
I mentioned in another post that my 9-yr old dog, Sophie, was in the hospital. They found, after an ultra-sound and X-rays, she had pancreatitis and a very inflamed gastric track. They fed her through an IV for a few days.
Now she's home and doing quite well, even playing with her toys. But I have to feed her small portions (2 Tablespoons) 5 times a day and only this special canned food. She snarfs it down and looks at me like, "Is that all there is?" Then she keeps going in and looking at her empty bowl and looking at me. I hope after her recheck Monday she can go back on her regular diet. She's used to having kibble in her bowl to snack on whenever she wants.

Thank you Shanna & Diana;
Isn't it just amazing how much love one can feel for their pets? I never knew that kind of love until I got Luke. Never had dogs or cats growing up.
I can appreciate what you two are going through right now. Shanna, I am sorry that your golden is not doing so well right now. I am sure that he is one lucky pup to have you loving him and taking care of him.
Diana, I am so glad that your pup is getting better. I am sure that once she starts back on her regular food things will improve for her.
Again, thanks for your comments, and I'll be thinking of both your precious pups....keep healthy, guys!
