After seeing so many cool ones out there, I tried Westiemom's Anisotropic painting technique. Y'all are right, it is fun. Thank you Anita! :-)

Input and suggestions are very welcome. Did some tweaks after the base method. Is it working... improvement ideas...

On the wood duck, I tried a both painting and a sketch for fun - Any preference?
The Village Lady (south of France, was in my gallery long ago) and Lake Geneva are from 20 yr. old scanned prints.... Lake Geneva photo is such poor quality that I thought a painting might salvage it! Thanks for looking....

Simone, those are really good. Thank you for sharing w/us.;) As far as the ducks, I like the painting best, but that is just a matter of preference. You've restored the other two photos reamarkably well. What a great idea.

Good job, Simone. I think I like the painting best too. This is a great technique for photos that are less than premium quality, don't you think?

I too love the painted duck the best.
Susan ,
you are right about being able to use lesser quailty photos this technique.

Thanks for the comments! Mr. Duck has some fans... I wasn't sure, the sketch or the painting of him.

And YES, I agree -- thank goodness for PSE "artistic" effects, then we can all do something with the photos we love but which are not in perfect shape for whatever reason. And blur on those self portraits :)
