Hey friends! I just added some fireworks pics I took last night. It's the first time I've ever taken fireworks photos. Your honest critiquing is greatly appreciated. Pick which photo you like the best of the six. This link will get you to the rest.

They are all great. If I have to vote, I'll go with your main image.
The question of exposure always comes up. Back some time ago, somebody here said the following worked well for her: ISO 700, f/5.6, 1/25th
Can you tell us what Exifer says about these?

Well, I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. They are all fantastic! But my son says this one (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=23475) is AMAZING!

I had read online to use ISO 100, F/8 and open it up for 1-2 seconds. That's what I did for most of these. Next time (when it's a longer fireworks show) I may try some different settings.
Thanks for all the comments. It's interesting to see what is everyones favorite.

Norm - I LOVE the one you have as your main photo and the one you call number 5 is also excellent. They are all "keepers" and I'll bet you could easily delete the black backgrounds and insert the fireworks portions in to other night shots as fireworks backgrounds! What an nice little fireworks library you have there. This photo has fireworks from 7-4-2005 in San Diego added to a 7-2-2006 Wisconsin wedding photo. Pretty slick...

Norm - I like them all but the main image is my favorite. We have a big display in Vancouver tonight. Every summer there is a competition and three other countries and Canada compete. We have had Spain and tonight is Canada. Hundreds of thousands come from all over the lower mainland on the four nights. I am definitely not feeling up to it tonight. If it cools down for either of the next two nights Wed and next Sat. I might see what I can get. I think with the crowds it might be another one of those "next year" projects. But thank you for giving me the idea to look at my camera and at least see where I should be setting it. Thanks for sharing. Hope things are going OK in your world.
