Using Dave Cross' Lighting Effect

Here is a picture of my grandniece that I did using the lighting effect tutorial by Dave Cross. Do you think I should have made the effect more subtle? I'd appreciate your comments. Thank you.

It looks great to me! Not a bit washed out, just doing what it's supposed to do - highlighting. It is a sharp, clear photo to begin with and your treatment of it only enhances it.

Thank you for your input. I'm always second guessing myself when I finish a page and it helps to know what others think. The original photo was a snapshot with a lot of busy stuff in the background so I just cropped it to Rebekah's face. It's wonderful to be able to salvage a rather poor photo and make some nice from it. Thank you for taking the time to look and comment.
