Is anyone having problems getting these to play. When I click on them Quicktime opens but I have no play button at the bottom and no video loads.

Punkin,
Which movies are you having a problem with?
I just checked the two new ones, Preset and Photopage, they appear to be working fine for me. FireFox and IE browsers.
Let me know :)

Working just fine for me ...
Tried them in both Firefox and Camino ...
I use both .... Firefix for general browsing and Camino for Photoshop browsing :). Marginally I prefer Camino :)

Yes I am having a problem with the sound on Photopage. I can get the video to play but there is no sound. The Preset video works fine.

Punkinsmom -- in the bottom area of QT try clicking in the empty space where the buttons would normally be -- I have had a few times when the buttons were there but did not show until I clicked on them.
I'm using QT 7 Pro and had no problems aside from the low volume on one of them but I can't remember which had low volume.

Hi,
I am also having a problem with them opening. This is the first time I have encountered this issue.

Low Volume is on the Preset manager one :)

Both tutorials are playing okay for me via Internet Explorer and from my hard drive. I also noticed the volume is softer on the Preset Manager tutorial.

There may have been some bug earlier. When I first tried to save them I couldn't find them in the Temp folder, but later they where there and copied fine.

I didn't have any problems with either one, they both opened fine on IE, and I only have the free QT download version.
But I was amused with the reference to Low Volume again. I seem to recall making that statement a while back and confussing everyone. Maybe Dave has extra super hearing and doesn't realize us Old Folks don't have that luxury any more.
The videos were great and I really do appreicate the effort they put into doing them. This is a great web site and superb forum.

I don't know what happened but now the video is working fine...sound and all..must have been a tiny glinch.

Still no luck. QT takes up my whole screen so there is nowhere to go to meke the screen bigger. I guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall. What a pain. Wish we could see this stuff on a different viewer.

Punkinsmom -- what is your screen resolution set to??? If it is 800x600 that may be why you're not getting good results.
Try clicking in the lower border to see if you snag the buttons.

Well, last night just to check I got the video to play (the preset video). When I tried this morning, NOTHING! Isn't there a viewer we could use instead of QT. I just don't like the thing or better yet, the program doesn't like my computer! BTW, I unload, restarted, reload, restarted the program and computer. Could it be this new Netscape 8.0 browser that is causing the problem?

Well, I think I found out what my problem was. My firewall! It was interferring with loading the video. You know, it's a shame we have to resort to all this security stuff. I battle computer security at work then I have to come home and battle with it here too!
BTW, we have a new baby at our house. We rescued her on Sat evening. Found her running down a very busy highway. She is a black cocker spaniel. I posted a lost puppy but I have a sneaky feeling this is her home now.
Here's a picture of her with Dusty. She is in bad shape, I gave her a flea treatment yesterday, the infestation was horrible. I don't know how we are going to afford her but I think she will be worth any investment.

I found Netscape 8 was incompatible with my computer -- Win XP SP 2. It caused a lot of errors and since I gave it up no problems. The Netscape 7 version worked just fine.
Oh she is a cute puppy, looks like she will be easy to fall in love with. Now Dusty will have a play mate. From the sounds of it someone just dumped her on the highway instead of locating a new home for her.

Sherrie,
Glad you managed to get it sorted out ... I'm just glad that I'm a Mac user and don't have the same security problems :)

Sherrie,
I want to see a pic of your new baby--but I haven't been able to get pixtral to work--is she in your gallery?
My Afghan dog was named Punkin (cause she was all the colors of a pumkin pie) so I was a Punkin's mom too!
