Help with Wendy's Frame tutorial

I'm hoping this is a simple problem.

I am up to step 13 of Wendy's new tut 'Select a 30 pixel hard round brush and using b89014 as your foreground color, paint some extra lines onto the frame. Just click at one end of the line, hold down the Shift key, click on the other end and Elements will draw a straight line between the two points for you'.

This is not happening for me. I keep getting a hand cursor instead. I have tried it on the 'more lines' and 'black squares' layers. Can anybody please tell me what I am doing wrong?:confused:

Duh!!!!!! Please ignore this thread. I treated myself to a whole day of PSE-ing today and I must be getting information overload - I was holding the space bar instead of the Shift key. (Amazing what a little break away from my computer achieved. I shouldn't really admit to this sort of stupidity should I):o:o
