Hi -I am wondering if some could do me a favour:)
It is our 55th Wedding Anniversary in a few days & I also have to take this 2nd Monitor back on Monday. and I am trying to make a card for Hubby. Time is not on my side This is the photo I scanned it at 300.
Size of space for photo is approx 3x4 up to 4x6inches
Could some of you look upon this as a challenge ?
This is the doorway of The Abbey Church in Shrewsbury England .
It was originally part of a Monastery & was built in 1083 AD
Its rather dark but you can see the Gothic Arches.
I would be really grateful if you could have a go at it for me.
The card has a creamy background & some rich Burgundy & Gold
I promise faithfully to show the card when finished:D
Thanks Storm

I did this 750 for the web. Not sure if you need the straight scanned image to be able to work on it?
Thanks. Storm

Hi Storm ...

Here is what I came up with .. I tidied it up a little and lightened the background then just put a deckle edge around it.

Finally I get back. Saw your work this a.m We had rain heavy for 2 days, this a.m it was dry so all the weeds in the looong driveway had priority ! Thank you Ellen I tried myself ,gave it a little sepia touch but did not lighten it as much as you did.
Wendy I had a good laugh when I saw you had fixed the Jacket:D
I have to use that one .:) Finally after all these years ,What I should do is exchange it for the one in the hallway. Then each time I pass it I will smile quietly to myself, instead of still being pi**** off . No kidding:D
What did you do to clean it up & how do you lighten.?
I have a whole slew of oldies to scan & try to work on.
Thank you Tom , I think I deserve a putty medal . ;)
Thank you both very much

Hi everybody here is my finished effort.Wendy I could not get a Frame around the whole of the outside .I have 3 layers of paper & it would only frame the Background which is onthe right hand side.
This is my first scrappy LO-what should I have done to get the frame correct ?
Here it is with the Coat fixed a la Wendy :D

Wendy I would like to have put one of Jodi's & I also tried putting a Selection ,biut both did same thing Just cover the Cream/Beige Backgroung paper which is under the photo area. It would not go around tha remainder over the Burgundy no 2 paper, & the folded paper no3 . It has something to do with linking or merging those 3 papers together & also that ribbon goes up tp the Edge. I always do my frames almost last or the last, i have only been working on 1 background /Paper & a few photos on it This is my first attempt at using scrapping papers.
Noticed on the scrapping site again ,no one frames ther papers
I did it 6x6. Thanks Storm

Hi Storm ..

Usually scrapbook pages are not framed but if you want to frame yours then go to the layers palette ...
Click on the top layer and do
Edit>Cop and then Edit>Paste

That will give you a merged copy at the top of the pile and you will be able to add a frame to that :)
