I have been trying everything including calling Lexmark support for printing my 4x6 creation:) (Not much help there) My 'postcard' keeps printing w/ funky white margins. In the page set up I set the paper size to postcard and below this are spaces for margins. There are margin amounts there but they are 'grayed out' so I can't change them. Is there a way to change them? (I have been trying all kinds of other printing options with no luck) I know if I can get those margin settings to 0, it will print fine...help
TIA

Hi and Welcome,
You have come to the right place. This is the friendliest newsgroup (NG) on the Internet. While I do not have a Lexmark printer I will try to help you out. Lexmark publishes their user manuals on their website. If you tell me your printer's model number I will download the manual and try to figure out what is going on. There is a good chance that by naming your model some here at our online community will have that machine and solve your problem before I can even get the manual. People here race to solve your issues as fast as they can:). Welcome aboard!
Cheers,
Bob

Some while ago a very helpful member of the forum provided information on this problem ( Sorry I don't remember his name) that solved the issue for me.
To print a borderless 4x6 document the original image should be set to 5.85 X 3.90.
Leave the printer set to 4x6 and it works like a charm. Be sure the paper you're printing on is actually 4x6. For instance, Kodak paper is really 4x6.5.
Hope this works for you.

Thank you, Robert. While on w/ their tech support people at Lexmark, he tells me that the printer doesn't support borderless 4 X 6. C'mon?
I also had an HP that needed an ink cartridge. Went and got that. Better quality anyway:)
Thank you Relic. That seemed to do the trick although it was cropping a bit of my bg layer. Re- sizing by layer helped me get the look I wanted as well. Can't say enough good about layers for sure.
Been reading the forum for a while and have only posted a couple of times but have to say thank you to all here for such great feedback, quality answers, patient responses, and creative help. Wish all forums were like this one:) Thanks again and happy designing!!

Yay, this solved my problem of not having 'all the picture' on my home printed photos. Will try changing the image size as suggested. I love this forum!
