This is not exactly a PSE question but this board has been so helpful and I am hoping someone can help out with this question.
I am a new photographer and I think I have made an amateur mistake. I shot some pictures for an organization and sent the pictures to the organization, saved on a CD-R. I just got an email saying they can't open the files...ughhh. Did I save the pictures incorrectly? Please help.
Oh..the recipient is a Mac user and I am a PC user, if that makes any difference.

Hi ...

It shouldn't make any difference if the recipient is a Mac user ... What format did you save the files in and how did you copy them to the disk ??

Hello,
I agree with Wendy, but I have experienced difficulties like you mentioned before.
You might consider any or all of the following:
1) Possibly the recipients reader will not read CD-Rs? I do know of cases where this occurs?
2) Some readers will actually not read certain types and/or brands of CD-Rs.
3) Was your CD-R formatted and ended for general reading? Some burning software including certain versions of NERO, Roxio and Sonic work this way.
4) Were your images recorded as JPEGs or TIFFs? It is possible the recipient may not be able to read some of the more specialized, less common file types.

I hope this helps.
