I just saw frames in the effects pallette:rolleyes:. I was working on an image and clicked on a frame but it didn't do anything. It asked me to flatten so I did but I still didn't see anything happen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Brenda

Just was at that link you wrote of

Wow - very cool. I like the way the photos stand out so far from the background. Was that accomplished by just having larger shadow?
Well anyway - I truly think I've never had much of anything to offer you - you've always been better than me with Elements. LOL
Great job.
EDIT
I found the thread with the explanations.

Janice,
YOu've helped me tremendously and have always been so patient with my wordings in my questions. thank goodness for pm's and e-mail!
I think it was just bigger shadows I did on that one.
I did it real quick just to use the v.5 frames.

I just glance at that thread and will try to get in depth tonite when I get home. The thing I noticed right away is that they were talking about PSE5, I have 4. Will that make a difference? Brenda

Brenda: Yes that does make a big difference - I think everyone thought you were talking about PSE5 Artwork and Effects Frames. PSE4 doesn't have those. The Frames in PSE4 are actions I think and they should work just by clicking on them. I'm not at a computer with PSE4 on it at the moment so can't check to see if you need to do anything special but I don't think so. Which particular frame were you having trouble with?

Brenda, I too just assumed it was v.5.
I opened up v.4 just to see. The frames are in the effects area.
I had a photo opened, double clicked the frame of choice, and it did it
all by itself. It didn't say anything about flattening.

Michelle & Tony, went home and tried it...double clicked and....it worked. I didn't know it was an action. Just now starting to work with them. I had an image opened with an action I purchased. Maybe they don't work together. Anyway I didn't even know they were there, I just stumbled across them. Thanks so much for your help! Brenda

Glad it is working out for you Brenda.
I do not often use the frames per se that come with the program.
