Ran into this site while browsing around today. Lets you pick two cameras and compare reference images from the two side by side - or you can download them and compare them up close. Quite a good way to get a feel for how cameras compare - for example noise at high ISO. Only caveat is that they are in-camera processed JPEGS likely with the default settings and many cameras will let you tweak those but at least it gives you a starting point for comparison.
