Hi, when searching for services, PElements3 gives me the error
"There was a problem with your internet connection. Please make sure..."
I'm using PE on a LAN through a proxy server. This connection works fine for all other programs. I can't find any settings in PE where I could make changes.
Is there a settings file for internet connectivity?
thanks, Jan Vandorpe, Belgium

hi and welcome jan,
I'm not familiar in how PSE works on LAN through proxy, but perhaphs these links might be useful to you in identifying your problem

Hi Jan ..
... and welcome to the forum :)
When you click on Services which option you select causes the problem? ... and are you using a Windows PC?

I get this when I try to look for online print services (order prints) and when I click Update creations...
I have read and tried out the posts in the adobe forum as you suggested but to no avail. I'm sure when I try this at home, where I have a direct connection, it will work but through my company LAN and proxy ....
This is a bug that should be adressed in the next version at the least.
thanks anyway, and if you or I find the solution!
In the meantime let me post another question...
cheers, Jan

jan,
proxies, corporate firewalls, etc. are definitely a problem. I don't think PSE was built for that kind of environment. Some have gotten it to work but it takes a lot of... well, work.
I hope it works well at home.
Wendy, you were probably enjoying your morning coffee and a NY/London Post puzzle. that's the only time us mere mortals can beat you.

Jan,
There is a problem with update creations ... it is know to Adobe and it only applies to European Users.

Sorry I missed your original reference to the fact that you were in Belgium :)
