Default brushes in PSE5 vs Wacom tablet

I posted in the beginner forum yesterday about some default brushes not working in PSE5. I have since found out (with the help of my sister!) that the problem lies somewhere between PSE5 and my Wacom Graphire4 tablet.

If I uninstall the tablet driver, the brushes work. When I reinstall the tablet driver (either the version that came with the tablet, or the newest version on the Wacom site) the hard, soft, and airbrush brushes quit working.

Has anyone else had this issue? I've sent a note to the Wacom people reporting this to see what they'll say.

I do seem to recall some having trouble with their Wacoms when PE5 first came out. If I remember properly the driver update fixed everything.:confused:

Problems can also be caused if you leave the pen on the tablet ... strange things happen :eek:
