However, when i go to find them in the edited format I can't see them......crazy making. when i look at the original in organizer i see the arrow on the original to expand to what's in that - but my edited pics are not there! i need a valium

Not sure I'm understanding your questions but do you have your photos stacked? If so, you have to "unstack" them otherwise you will only "see" the top one in the stack. You'd have to right click on that photo and "unstack" the photos.

Hope this helps but if it's something else, I'm sure someone will come along and be able to help.

When I right click on the original photo the stack obtion is greyed out.

What I think I'm trying to say is, for example:

I took a pic of a great flower. When I downloaded the pic, i did a quick fix and zoomed in on it, then enhanced the color etc. After my edits to the original i did a file save (i've also done a file save as and renamed it). Then i simply cannot find my edited pic. ugh:(

Did you save as a psd? Sometimes, when you're looking for a file while using another program or an email program - that program cannot "see" a psd - and will only show you your jpgs.

Open Elements and do your search using Elements "open" option.

Or if you know the name of the file, do a search using your computer's
start> search

It will find your file and then you'll be able to see where it was auto saved to.

I always use "save as" when I save a file - that way I can make sure what format I'm saving in and where the "little bugger" will sneak away to.

For me, one of the most difficult parts of computer/Elements - is file organization - learning how to find things after I save them.

When you are doing a save or save as...when the menu comes up to save (or save as) down the bottom where it says "save options", do you have checked off "include in the organizer"?

Hi eileenb,
If you haven't been too busy, just open File>Open Recently Edited File, and look for your picture there. The recently edited files are listed newest first, top to bottom.

If your picture is there, open it and then lay your cursor across the top of the window (address bar?) and pretty soon a little popup will appear that shows the full address of the picture.

Good luck,
Steve
