I have Photoshop Elements 5 and Windows Vista. I've downloaded styles and patterns from this site's Subscriber Area and fonts from another site. I can't get them to be seen by the program. How do I get them to be recognized by the program and available in the dropdown selections?
thank you.

To install styles first make sure you have show hidden files selected. Then make sure the styles are in a folder, copy it and follow this path -
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects\layer styles
For patterns go to programs - Adobe - Elements 5 - Presets - Patterns.
Hope this helps.

Styles also go in the Presets\Styles folder.

for the first reply, I can't find that file path. I don't see any folder called photo creations.
for the second reply, that's where I already had the downloaded files but they don't show when I use PE5
i did a reinstall of the software, and the vista patch download from adobe
any other ideas?

Ironaria,
it looks to me that you are not showing hidden files.
Click Run - Organise - Folder and Search Options - View - tick Show Hidden Files and Folders.
You will then find the path in my first post.
