Just found where a proram Vizros that does page curls, page turn, cylinders, boxes is now avaiable free.
With all the comments on doing page curl as a tutorial a while back, this makes it so simple, plus a lot of other benefits as well as adjustments in a dialog box for the effects.
The link is:

:( :( It says that their name will be inserted on the image until you pay for the program. That didn't show up until after I downloaded and started to install. Did you find their name on your images with the free version?

HI,
Yeah, I downloaded the "free" version also and the name was all over the image. Nice program though if you want to pay for it.

So how much does it cost? Not wanting to do pictures with overprints or anything -- but if the cost is reasonable I will consider getting it.

Another Page Curl Plug-In worth looking at is This One (http://www.avbros.com/english/products.html) . Works fine in PSE3

They are both Windows only

So any Mac users who want to know how to do it manually ... just let me know :)

Go to the Vizros home page and you will see a free registration number and how to register. Click on 'Problems with registration' link and follow instructions.
When you pull down the filter menu you will see a Register entry that will allow you to use w/o having to pay or have their logo all over.

here is link to regitration page with number also listed.

I tried it but getting very small images as a result and when enlarged enough to view -- very pixelated. Anyone else using this plug in and getting better results let me know.

Jim - thanks for the registration information. I have it installed and registered!! Works great! I just did a page curl on a photo of Shadow (the cat) helping me make a birthday card yesterday. (The photo is terrible but the curl is great)

Tony ..

I'm far too mean to buy one ... so I guess I'll have to continue making my own :)

Well now -- I'll just have to learn the Wendy method -- as I posted earlier I get super small images when I process the plug-in -- the install wasn't anything significant -- but wonder what makes the pic so so so smalllll.

Wendy, I remember that one too....so colorful !

btw, there is a tutorial on this site for the page curl...

Here's my try. I think the size has to do with the resolution. I made this photo a 6x4.5 with a resolution of 300.

Jodi ..

The page curl tutorial on this site (the one using a gradient) is a much easier way of doing a curl than the one I used to use :)

Wendy, it doesn't matter how ya do it as long as you are having fun with it. That is why this program is so great...so many ways to be creative...so many ways to do one single thing !

I'm a little slow -- but I tried the Vizro Plug-in with a 300 ppi image and found the sliders that took it from puny to a more acceptable size and the quality was good. Just in case someone else runs into this issue.

Thank you Wendy and Jodi.
I agree with you Jodi, this is the most fun I've ever had with a computer and I much prefer digital scrapbooking, no mess to clean up, no sticky fingers!

Thanks Jodi!

Problem is, now what do I do with all the scrapbooking supplies I have. I've sold a few on Ebay. I have a small fortune wrapped up in this stuff! Maybe I can make some cards or something 8)

Hey Jim. I downloaded the vizros.com program for page curl and installed it. I opened up PE3 and clicked on the filter drop-down, but there was nothing about vizros. Any idea's?

Hi Brian

You may have to shut PSE down after installing a filter and then restart. If that doesn't do it I am sure other ideas will be forthcoming. :)

Hi Mary. PSE was shut down. I even restarted the computer. I think the problem is that I just installed the program to the default location. I don't think PSE even knows it's on my computer.

make sure you have placed the Vizros folder or copy the folder to the Plug-ins folder in your PSE 3.0 program folder and restart. You should see the Vizros 4 under the Filter Menu drop down. There will be a list below the default filters that come with PSE 3.0. The Auto FX items that are avaialble free on the PSE users site are located there if you have downloaded them.
Let me know if it doesn't work.

This image here I posted (Me and my Mother) I made this photo
template of the corner being pull over (curled corner) to look like it's on
old sticky type photo album page. As you can see from the image it is
possible to do with out plug-ins....

http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pic=1S1tLpKnlY6SEjYkhChFWKYXg1C7

This curl was create in Elements 2 with no plug-ins of any kind or any
special filters, just what came with elements.

I also created the Photo Corners as well with a layer style....

Hi Jim, and thanks for the help. It is working fine now since I did what you had said. Only problem, I get watermarks all over my photo even after putting in the registration code. Any idea's?

You can't copy and paste the register code in, it won't work, you have to type it in....

Hi Tim. I typed it in number for number, reloaded PSE and I still get the watermarks. Nice program, but I don't need to advertise their product that badly.

Delete all files and try again, the register code does work.

Aah Tim, you're the man. I uninstalled it, downloaded it, and installed it directly into my photoshop elements\plugins folder. Before I installed to the default location and then dragged it into the folder. Thanks so much, works perfectly.
