Wondering why

When I am working on a scrapbook page and want to move a background or a paper, I move the item from the photo ben to my layout. Sometimes that takes a long time to copy/show (little hour glass goes on and on):eek:the layer on the layout. Then sometimes I'll just Ctlt/a, copy, and paste the item and it does'nt take as long. Even shorter is copying a piece of the paper, then pasting on layout.

So, I was wondering what am I doing??? Why the different work arounds require different amounts of time to complete, is one better? ;)

Hi Michelle,

I've had the same issue! The time is shorter when I select the move tool before dragging the photo up to the layout, but it's still quicker to cut and paste.

Another method I've read somewhere here is to go to file>place. Then you choose the image you want to place on the layout and it places it in the center.

I, too, wonder why dragging it takes so long??
