I'm working on some pages of our visit to a horse rescue. .... My question is when you have a page like this:
http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1M4eZ73j9nrKveKJUQ69cVA7Hfx2ZM_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1M4eZ73j9nrKveKJUQ69cVA7Hfx2ZM)

what is the best way to copy the letters to add to a page?
http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1MkjfhLbhyLKOebp6z7oThpyUvmW5_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1MkjfhLbhyLKOebp6z7oThpyUvmW5)

I've been copying and pasting each letter and that takes so long. AND if you want to resize once they are on the page what is the best way????

Thanks
Michelle

Using those letters are tedious - that's why I make my own

Open a background paper -
Choose the text tool
Choose type mask from the text tools
Type your text
When you click the checkmark - the mask changes to a selections of letters
choose edit copy
choose edit paste

Your words - cut out of your background paper - will appear on a new separate layer -

After you create your background paper text - it's easier to work with if you turn off your original background paper by clicking on the eye next to the layer in the layer palette

Or you can delete the original layer after you're done with it
____________
To answer your question - yes it is tedious - after you get all your letters onto your project
and you get them all lined up (either manually or using some sort of tool like Panos' alignment tool)

Highlight the layers and choose merge layers
Or highlight the layers and link them together using that little chainlink above the layers palette.

The link can be undone
The merge cannot be undone

After you link/merge the letters - they can be moved/resized as one - using your move tool -
