Photo Organizer shuts down

I have windows vista and PSE 5. It was working fine until I plugged in my IPOD and it tried to import photos. Now every time I open the organizer it tries to import the same photos and then says the program stopped working and shuts down. I can't get into the organizer long enough to change preferences. I have tried to uninstall and then install again and start over and it is still closing down. Does anyone know how to solve this problem.

First thing is I am so sorry to hear of your problems but I am sure that one of the Windows people here will be able to help ... I just wish that I could but being a Mac user I can't help on this one.

Can you get in by picking the orgaizer preferences from the editor?
I know that will cause the organizer to start but maybe the preferences will come up.

Also have you tried resetting the prefs CRTL>ALT>SHIFT while swtarting the editor definatly resets for the editor..I'm not sure if it will for the organizer, but worth a shot.:confused:

Hello, thanks for the replies. I have tried to change the preferences in the editor as well as the CRTL>ALT>SHIFT and neither of them work. It still says the organizer has stopped working and shuts down. I've tried to call technical support but they are only open when I am also at work and not at my computer. Any other suggestions would be great.
