I posted this on the general form as my first ever post, and then realized there might have been a better forum to post this in - this one. So I apologize if anyone has seen this on the general forum.

I have used Elements 2 for 3 years and have used it in conjunction with Album 2. I understand that PSE5 (and some earlier versions) made the Album function part of the program rather than a stand alone program.

My question is, if I upgrade to PSE5 with its Album-like tagging and collections functions, will all the tags on the 6000 photos I already have marked transfer reliably under PSE5 and will the tags and categories show up properly under PSE5? I am fearful that they won't and this is what has been keeping me from upgrading.

Thanks for any thoughts and experiences with this issue.

Peter

Hi Peter...

I went from 4 to 5 and it moved all of my tags just fine. I am afraid you may not find many that have moved from 2 to 5. I think you will find 5 has lots more to offer and you wont be sorry for the upgrade. Just moving from 4, I am happy about the change. :)

I moved from 2 to 5 and didn't have any problems other than getting used to a different looking layout. Having the helo of folks here made things a LOT easier!
