I noticed today a new written tutorial Creating Pushpins which looks pretty easy By Susan Hobbs. I do not recognise that name. Is she a regular member here? I am guessing she is! :)

Hi Charles,
I like to think of myself as a "regular" member ;) I'm the one posted the before and after WITHOUT A TRIPOD!!!!! last night.
Thanks for noticing my new tutorial. It's a supplement to my article "Slice and Dice Your Photos" in the current issue of the newsletter. I hope you'll give them both a try.

Hi Susan,
Glad Charles asked the question on who did the wonderful tutorial on Push-Pins. I was wondering the same thing. Glad you joined the forum and are so willing to share. Going to give the tut a try soon. Checked out your before & after photo too. Great Job!!

Charles, Andrea, and Dorrie,
Thanks for the kind words. I really hope you'll give both of the tutorials a try.
Andrea, I'm not ignoring your request for the steps to my before & after. It's not difficult but has several steps to write down. Hmmmmmm.... I think I see another tutorial coming soon. I'll keep you posted. ;)

Susan, I have a question with respect to the "slice and dice" in Issue 4-4.
When I try to create the square in step 2 it completely fills my template layer. The picture in the issue shows just filling a small section in the upper left hand corner. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong.
Also, is this tut listed anywhere in greater detail? It seems like the editors cut out a lot of the pictures and made a number of assumptions which is really frustrating for us beginners.
Thanks

Hi David and thanks for checking out the tutorial,
I assume that your original image is larger than 4x4.
1. Press D to set the default colors
2. Press X to change foreground color to white
3. Create a new blank layer
4. Use the following settings for the Marquee Tool
http://heart2heartdesigns.xportcms3.com/siteresources/data/images/PSE%20Gallery/option_bar_fixed.jpg
5. Click once on the new layer to create a 4"x4" square selection
6. Press ALT+Backspace to fill with the foreground color
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Susan,
I've gone through the steps you described. But when I do them my "template" shows a full white square. The picture in the issue shows just a small white square on the template in the upper left corner.
The main picture I'm using is the file on the web site and I have my marque square set for 4*4. So I'm not really sure what's going on.
Thanks,
