I just love the informality of how towns and small cities celebrate the holiday. In addition to the High School bands, you get Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts... heck, anybody that wants to march is welcome.
Chris and I decorated my driveway this morning (one of Jane's layouts),

Then we drove a mile and a half to City Hall for the parade.

We hit the Big Time this year. The red t-shirts are an informal (very informal) group of University of Wisconsin marching band members. I'm guessing locals that just pulled together and joined in.
Good Fun :D
