I just saw this and was going to start a thread myself. What a great shot Shari. Breathe takingly beautiful. This one would make a great card the next time you go to market.

Wow Shari - that definitely needs framed and hung on the wall. Just beautiful! Of course, it would also make beautiful cards for your market.

Shari, that truly is just amazingly lovely! I think you ought to frame that for sure!!!! And it sure would make super cards. It looks like a wonderful painting. Thanks for sharing it.

This is very beautiful. Where is the impressionist filter that you said you used? Is it an add on? because I can't find it in PSE5.

Thank you Bill and everybody. I just saw this. Thing is that photo was so quick to do but when I took the picture I felt it would be nice with a slight filter. Only photo I took of the lillies. Someone asked about the filter. I downloaded from a hint in Pixel Hangout some time ago and honestly can't remember where it was. It might just be for CS2 but there are more options with the sliders. I love it when you all compliment my work though. My husband is out at a fancy retirement party tonight - but I just did not have the energy to go - so - where is the next best place to be - or maybe the first best place!!!

I tried desaturating this because I want to make some B & W to frame in 8 x 10. Do you like this or would it be better to try without the filter or does the color image really speak out better? You are all great artists and I respect your opinion - so how about it? Thanks.

IMHO, I much prefer the one in color. The muted greens with the pop of pink is remarkable. It truly does look like an impressionist painting. It really is gorgeous. It seems to lose a lot in b/w. I love black and white, but not in this particular photo. It seems to lose the focus on what is so special.

Just my opinion though, Shari.

I too like the color one. The BW just doesn't do this image justice I think.

I love the colored one, but the b/w is good too.

I noticed this too Shari and wanted to start a thread but was distracted.

This is incredible! I would blow it up poster size and frame it! Just gorgeous!!

Shari;

Go with the color - the colors have a sort of Monet look.. Tom :)

Thanks all. I agree I like the colour one best - it is just I am trying to get some black and white done. Another reason is I have a whole cartridge of black ink to use up before getting a new printer!!!
