Has anyone used Nero for backing up photos, backing up any thing, burning music etc ? ? I got Nero OEM 6.6.1.6. in a bundle with my new computer.
Its the only burning program I have. Is it good ,any problems ? Does anyone use it for regular scheduled back ups ? Main thing for me is my Photos.
Would like to hear your experiences & advice please
Thanks Storm

A Nero bundle came with my Alienware & I really only use it to watch movies. I tried burning some music a few times but it seemed a bit slow. No problems, I have not tried it with photos yet. I might try it when I get home. Maybe try a few practice runs with it with some "not so important" pictures...just in case:D

I use Nero for burning data files and copying files from flash memory, hard drives and from other cd's. Works ok. I do not use their Backup package instead I use Syncback Plus (can be downloaded) I think they still have a free version - I liked enough to buy the paid version. You can schedule regular automatic backups with it.

I use Nero. I bought the program and haven't had any problems w/it. I have never used it for backup, so I can't input on that aspect. Good luck.

I have used it for years, works great.
I have found it a bit less user friendly than Roxio. But i find it works faster than Roxio also.

just to add on (sorry a little late)... i have the paid version (Nero 7 ultra, about $100) and really like it. it's pretty robust for making video/audio stuff...

i use it for data backups to cd/dvd, and also for making slidehows of photos then burning the slideshows to DVD to take to family/friends, etc. sometimes i make the slideshow within Nero (really nice features, can do simple ones or embellished), and other times i make the slideshow in pse's organizer then burn it to dvd with nero.....
